Summer going ons- Be a tourist in your own city

Taking a break from my travelling posts (I still have loads O_O), I need to share about this amazeballs day I had with Ninamma.

Ninamma has collected quite a few titles during the time I've known her. From Kpop-partnerincrime, workstories-buddy, to colleague, bubbleteafluctuated-friends (I just made that up). But now, I can add photog-buddy!

During a recent bubble tea outing, we both suddenly felt the need to take our cameras out for a ride. And so we decided on Brick Lane, seeing as we both haven't been there, and a pretty hot tourist spot in London.

I like Brick Lane already

How on earthhh, did they do that?

A lil's bit of shopping in a really really awesome shop called Blitz {http://www.blitzlondon.co.uk/} If your heart is overwhelmed with a possibility of it exploding when you see vintage clothes, this is the shop to be at. Affordable, genuine vintage clothing AND a student discount. This is where its at!

Everything about Brick Lane was cool. I was so inspired during my trip there, it made me so pumped up about my future with my dreams and aspirations! Adrenaline rushhhhhh.

Aladin

A curry place which was 'listed by the BBC as ‘One of the World’s Best Curry Houses’ and Priased(sp) by HRH Prince Charles (YES PRINCE CHARLES)' and 'declared as the Winner for Best European Restaurant Awards and Voted No.1 on WhatPolls Best Brick Lane Curry for 2 years in a row'! Btw, I find it weird that curry is Britain's national dish.

Its so fluffy I'm gonna die!

Favourite place in London

Preedy

A spot where Nina fell in love with that very cyclist.

Another photog-day is much needed.

Continue being dope. xxx

Hong Kong Photo Diary

Hongkong was a fairly impromtu decision. Going to Hongkong wasn't out of the question, it was totally in the question. But I just brushed wanting to go there off as me being greedy. This was until Tiffany, a really super cool person, sternly informed me that 'I can't go on an asia tour and miss out hongkong'. Best advice, she's not only super cool but also super wise. Tiff's a Hongkonger, so she offered me her place to crash while I'm there {not sure if she regretted}. But her family are super awesome! I've never felt so welcomed and comfortable in someone's home! Their hospitality made Hongkong that extra bit more perfect (despite really sucky weather). :}

So, please enjoy this photo diary!

Greeted by this mysterious creature.

Day one- Cantrememberthenameofthis sea side town, Nathan Road, Goldfish market, Australian Milk Company and a polluted view of the skyline

Pineapple bun. GAAAAAH

Tiff told me people would spend a crazy amount on buying a fish, just to let it go in the sea! For good luck.

Wet marketttttt.

Every type of fishball

Second meal in Hongkong, getting re-in touch with my british genes. (First meal was Japanese, I'M IN HONGKONG, I'M DOING IT ALL WRONG).

Possibly the coolest building I've ever seen!

Australian Milk Company, as recommended by Jec.

This was a cool experience! Know cantonese or have a hongkonger with you when you go, cos its a MUST go. They ask for your orders before you even get a chance to sit down, they serve you food whilst spilling half of it on the table, they toss dirty dishes into buckets place pretty close to you, finished eating? get out, no time for chitchat. Everything is rushed, but its strangely so so comfortable! They serve some pretty mean scrambled eggs!!!! And the toast, my gosh, okay, enough. Just go there if you're in Hongkong.

BLEEEEEH. <3 <3 This is Aaron Kwok, here, oh very deprived ones who don't know who he is.

BLEEEEEH. This is Louis Koo, here, oh very deprived ones who don't know who he is.

Day two glutton day- Cheong fun, Tim ho wan, Egg waffles

After expressing my undyingggggg love for Cheong fun, Tiff's mum drove us to have some and it was kick asssss.

Tim ho wan, right after cheong fun.

Possibly known to every single Singaporean out there, tim ho wan, a michelin star dim sum place which sells AMAZEBALLS dim sum at really cheap prices. I'm gonna start a Bring Tim Ho Wan to London campaign.

Cheong fun version two

What's this mystifying ball of heaven?!

And this?!

Most famous egg waffles in Hongkong! {Right after tim ho wan, with umbrella in hand}

Along nathan road if I'm not wrong...

Day 3- HK instant noodles breakfast, seaside, temple, soho, nathan road by night!

Luncheon meat and egg goodness!!

Long ass escalator

Back at this place ;)

This was my third time along Nathan road that trip. As mentioned before, I am in love with night lights. So I naturally fell in love with this place.

Day 4- Traditional HK dessert morning, Ladies market, more markets, Sneaker street, chill session in bookstore, late night movies and my favourite meal in my 5 months travel

Pretty late start to the day, with Japanese lunch, and hk dessert! The milk dessert was delish.

Queen of fart

Tiffany's family invited me along to watch a movie with them! And them knowing that I love love night light, and was pretty disappointed at not being able to go to Victoria's peak, presented me with a view of HK from the shopping centre's carpark. Not a bad substitution I'd say.

The finale!

Last meal in HK, my lovely hosts brought me for a supper of chicken porridge and pigeon. I'm sorry, but this meal was totally indescribable. No words can describe how much my taste buds were rejoicing. it was just like.... perfect. Really just perfect! The porridge omgggggg, like totally melt in your mouth! And the pigeon. Whatever! What the hell, why are there wars going on?! There should be world peace based solely on the fact that such a gift from heaven exists on this world! Don't fight! Eat pigeon and chicken porridge! And THAT'S how much this meal has impacted my life. I cry myself to sleep knowing that I would never have the same culinary journey that has made me the person I am today. I am in love.

Looked over to Tiffany and saw this.

Eating a pigeon wing with money slid between two fingers on one hand. And another part of a pigeon held in the same hand as a ball of tissue. This girl. Cray.

Never looking at pigeons the same way ever again.

That concludes my adventure to Hongkong. I've missed out quite a few locations I went to {mostly shopping destinations}. It really was an amazing amazing experience, all made even better because of my hosts, as I've said before. I seriously don't know how to thank them! They brought me to so many places and nomming sessions, and wouldn't let me pay for anything! They gave me a phone card to use, let me eat dinner with them, took care of me, even gave me a laundry bag for any clothes I wanted to wash!

Summing it up in two words: totally unforgettable.

I find guys who speak cantonese extremely attractive.xxx
