Back for a short post! Life has been crazy as of late. Last two weeks of my five month holiday, and I'm typically zooming around doing last minute meetings, shopping and eatings. Arrived back in Singapore few days ago from Penang, and I've only just gotten a day to chill.
Today, its Cingjing(清境). From Taichung, I hopped onto a bus to Cingjing, a part of Taiwan high up in the clouds. The rest of my 5 month trip consisted of city after city after city. I mean, Singapore is the definition of a city almost. So I felt I needed some quiet time to nua and chill in a place far away from any sign of hustle and bustle.
And how right I was, I felt internally refreshed after three nights there. Now, typically people don't go for three nights, its way too long. But I just really wanted to do nothing.
Dinner
Taiwan has the BEEEST instant noodles! The noodles, the soup, the genuine pieces of meat that are so tender its probably poisonous. Oh em gee!!!!

Felt angered by a series of happenings in my life at that time. So I marched to the nearest 7-11 and bought these. Felt way better after!
Cingjing at it's best after a heavy down pour!
After a day in bed, eating, thinking about life and watching TV in my hotel room, I decided to its time for some human and sheep interaction. I headed to Cingjing farm (清境农场) and saw many meh mehs.
Taiwan took my breath away so much I'm surprised I didn't collapse.

I dunno, during my visit there, I felt sheep to be rather attention seeking, greedy and annoying. I felt the need to deny them of any attention by not taking any photos of them. They're cute, don't get me wrong.
During my three night stay there, I stayed in a hotel/B&B called Sunnydale. Here. And my goodness, I have nothing but praises for them! They have an AMAZING spread of breakfast of bacon, scrambled eggs, bread, cereal, congee, steamed peanuts, bahu, mok abalone, AND DAMMIT SO MUCH MORE. Every end of month or something, they provide dinner. And its a dinner of your PERSONAL shabu shabu/ steam boat. And its was so good! They will personally drive you up to where ever you want to go in Cingjing. From Cingjing, I was going to Hualien. And its impossible to go to Hualien by bus, only taxi, which would cost 5000TWD. I didn't know this, so I asked them how to get to Hualien lah. And they said, oh, you need a taxi, but it'll cost you 5000 which is a lot. So they called nearby hotels and called the hotel guests to see if anyone was going to Hualien and there was a space for me to sit in their hired taxi. And they found this singaporean couple who was super willing to take me! And the next day, on the way to Hualien, I realised I might have forgotten to take my passport. So the (super nice) Singaporean couple called the hotel to check if my passport's been left in my room. They checked and said nope. Then they called back! Telling me, they checked the CCTV of the lobby and saw me put it in my camera bag!!! LIKE SERIOUSLY! So nice. And at the end of your stay, they give you souvenirs of post cards and the hotel card which you slot into the wall to switch on the electricity.
SERIOUSLY, please don't hesitate to stay there. By far my stay hotel stay. I'm disappointed I have no pictures to show you how awesome the rooms are. But take a look at the website to get a taste of it.

Sorry this seemed rather rushed and not informative. I literally did nothing other than the farm. There are loads to do in Cingjing though! You can drive up the mountains and watched the sun rise etc. :)
