Gap Year- The first

Many of you might know or might have guessed, I'm back in this place where I experienced a whole 13 years of my life; Singapore. (Well now I'm in Penang, this post is just overdue.)

And my first impression of this foreign but not so foreign land is a sense of unfamiliar homeliness. I'm seeing Singapore in a whole different aspect. From that overweight greasy girl with a centre parting to a  girl who finally went through puberty. Didn't know puberty also affected the way you view things really. But ya, I love this place, it took me a long time to give up on the idea of moving back to Singapore in the future, but now I'm not sure. I WANT TO.

So let me explain a bit of what I'm doing. (Havent really told anyone actually). I'm on a Gap Year right now. And this ->A gap year is a period of time when students take a break from formal education to travel, volunteer, study, intern, or work. is the definition of a gap year. I'm not doing anything to aid my future like volunteer, study or intern, I'm simply travelling.

My current itinerary is Singapore - Penang - Korea - Taiwan - Singapore - Hong Kong - Singapore - UK (where I live and love). And I'll be doing this for 5 months!

Within the few four days in Singapore land, I've experienced and done more than the 13 years I lived here. I drank gongcha, wore slippers out every single day...., fuelled my passion to own a cafe by going to two extremely-happening cafes (group therapy and shots, AND meeting the owners of them both), had a cheap-as dinner with a butt-wrenching awesome view of singapore, said: 'OHMYGOSH CHEAP, lets buy' about 100 times already, met Bobby Tonelli my favourite singaporean actor, met ToshRock my favourite youtuber, been approached by someone (one too many times) saying: 'HI! You're back?!' and not having a clue who they are, taken on a night drive and had the time of my life, been bitched about by shop assistants in Chinese (and seen their faces when I say 'WHAT?! I'm really like that?!' in chinese)

The butt-wrenching awesome view I was talking about. How awesome right?!

Night drive scenary.

Seeing that CNY was round the corner, a visit to chinatown is a must

REUNITED AND IT FEELS SO GOOD. I love 'em.

Off to Penang I came.

Stick around for more. xx
